For over 15 years, UNM Parking Enforcement Supervisor Albert Tafoya has spent his days supervising the parking needs of the University, while playing guitar for some of the Southwest’s biggest performers, including Gonzalo, Al Hurricane, Sparx, and others.

“Playing guitar, I may have a gig on a Friday night playing country music, On Saturday, maybe Spanish music gig. And on Sunday, maybe (play) a Top-40 at a local festival. I cover a broad spectrum of music.”

“Working at the university is a great job… I’ve been able to build a career here. But it’s not my only passion.”
